Rosemary Stapleton

Rosemary Stapleton is a printmaker and painter based in Pittsburg, Kansas, where she works out of a home studio. She works primarily in linocut and intaglio printmaking, creating figurative works featuring fantastical settings, characters, and creatures. Her work is strongly influenced by book illustrations, medieval manuscripts, and graphic novels.

Her visual art and creative writing are deeply interconnected, and many of her artworks feature characters and settings from the worlds she writes in – although many others do not have an accompanying story, and instead invite viewers to extrapolate their own story from the work.

Her work has been displayed in several exhibitions and portfolio exchanges, most notably the Frogman’s 2025 Print Workshops staff exhibition and portfolio, as well as numerous student exhibitions. She received her BFA from Pittsburg State University in 2025.
